We have been happy to offer a virtual run option over the past few years, but beginning with the 2024 run it will no longer be an option. We look forward to seeing everyone in person on March 23.

Please note, all parking is at Washington County Fairgrounds on Blue Bell Rd. Shuttles will bring participants and guests to Brenham High School where you will be directed to start lines.

BHS VolleyballHistory

Started in 1978, this race began to benefit the Brenham High School Athletic program and did so for many years. Today, the run serves a broader community by fostering the physical health of and instilling good character in the youth of Washington County. Run for the Youth of Washington County sponsors events like the Blue Bell Fun Run, and conducts and provides charitable and other non-profit programs and activities in Washington County. Brenham High School athletes serve as volunteers for the race.

The Course

The course starts and finishes at Brenham High School on FM 2935 off of Loop 577 on the north side of town in scenic and historic Washington County. The Trestle Trail guides runners down paved, winding roads taking you through Brenham’s beautiful countryside — rolling hills covered in Bluebonnets.

It’s fun for kids and adults alike with individual and team events in both the 5K and 10K. And for those that desire an even greater challenge, a half marathon route is part of our event schedule (limited spots available). Even the friends and family that are on hand to support the runners get the Blue Bell Ice Cream!

Check out our testimonials to see why other runners agree with the cows and think Brenham is Heaven.
