About Blue Bell

Blue Bell Ice Cream is proud to be a part of the Blue Bell Fun Run. This outstanding event supports the many talented people in the Brenham High School Athletic Department and across Washington County.

A short history of Blue Bell
Blue Bell was formed in 1907 as the Brenham Creamery Company and, back then, made only butter. Four years later, we cranked out the first batch of ice cream at a rate of two gallons a day.  Our name was changed to Blue Bell in 1930 after the Texas wildflower that blooms in the hot summer months. We sold to small towns around Brenham until 1960, when we decided to take the big step into nearby Houston.  Folks liked it so much we started selling our ice cream in other big cities as well.

The “Little Creamery in Brenham” has grown into a regional ice cream brand focused on providing an excellent product at a great price.

Good luck to all the runners! We hope you have an enjoyable experience at this year’s Blue Bell Fun Run.
